Our Restaurant

Here at the Duke of Edinburgh, we offer delicious quality food, sourced from local suppliers, and created for you by our dedicated team of chefs. Our intimate Bistro restaurant seats 28 people and provides the perfect setting, seven days a week, for a relaxing meal with friends, family or colleagues.

We are delighted to have multi-award winning chef Steven Doherty as Executive Consultant Chef. Steven was the first Briton in history to run a three star Michelin restaurant, winning every accolade possible, whilst retaining its three star status for over a five year period. Following this period, Steven moved to Cumbria in the 1990s, Steven enjoyed national praise whilst running The Brown Horse in Winster before purchasing The Punch Bowl in Crosthwaite and turning it into one of the most highly decorated and acclaimed gastropubs in the UK.

Our Food
All our quality food is made from the best ingredients, sourced from local suppliers, and is lovingly created by our hard-working team of chefs.

Much of our fish is caught locally by Barrovian fishing vessels, our meat is selected from local butchers, vegetables arrive from a Lancashire based supplier and we try to bake much of our bread on site.
